Exclusive group hunting in the Erongo Mountains

Herzog Hunting offers you memorable safaris for group hunters. During the 2014 hunting season, we opened our new luxury hunting lodge “Omurenga” in the Erongo mountains. This newly opened lodge is especially suitable for small to medium sized groups or families.

Composed of a main building and five spacious bungalows, it offers room for hunting groups up to 10 people. The lodge was designed to unite luxury with sustainability, against a backdrop of breath-taking scenery. Here, you can hunt, enjoy nature, and let your body, mind and soul relax.

The lodge

The main building continues the theme of clear contours and a breath of Africa. Designed as a circular house with large panorama windows, the lodge offers unobstructed views over the beautiful, breath-taking expanses.

The main lodge serves as a meeting place for guests, and is always open – whether you simply want to relax with a book on one of the comfortable sofas, or enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace, or unwind in the “infinity pool”.

Here, guests sit around a circular table or on the sun terrace to enjoy their meals. Prepare to be pampered with a wide range of culinary delights – from elaborate breakfasts to light lunches, and afternoon teas to evening meals.

We’re committed to using fresh products, and hunt all our own meat. Enjoy a tender oryx steak or a hearty springbok sirloin. We’re also happy to cater to individual requirements and preferences.

To protect the environment long-term, the entire lodge is powered exclusively via 220V solar power.

The bungalows

Each bungalow is designed on the theme of an indigenous species of animal. Guests will be delighted with the individual designs and artistic finesse. By using local materials, organic forms and warm colours, Omurenga - a private hunting lodge - melts into the unique and picturesque landscape.

With an eye to detail, we’ve created a welcoming atmosphere to make this feel like a perfect home from home for you. Each bungalow contains two comfortable queen-size beds to ensure your sleep is deep and refreshing.

With panorama windows opening onto a sundeck, you can even watch the animals from your bed, and enjoy clear views of the sheer endless landscape. Here under the broad expanses of the Namibian sky, there is nothing to disturb your peace and quiet. Watch the spectacular sunset fade into an equally spectacular star-studded night sky.

Alternatively, you can enjoy this spectacle of nature from the private outdoor shower – a special addition adjoining the open, light bathroom, with separate toilet, featured in each bungalow. Mobile phones and WiFi can be used in all bungalows. Naturally, a well-stocked mini-bar is also included. Some bungalows also feature added extras such as a jacuzzi on the sundeck or a small kitchenette.
